About Sarah
Sarah Ruff, raised on a cattle ranch in the Ozark Mountains of Arkansas, knows firsthand what hard, physical labor and farm life are all about. Growing up in this rugged environment, with no television and very little contact with the outside world, made her more than excited for college life in the city. Sarah enjoyed her years at Arkansas State University, where she was a member of the varsity cheerleading squad and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. The best part of college was that there were no cattle to tend to and meeting her future husband (and best friend) Travis Ruff.
Sarah and Travis have been married for 21 years and have two lovely daughters, Emily and Ashley.
Sarah realized after the birth of her daughters that the physical activity she loathed so much on the farm was now exactly what she needed. She wasn’t alone as she met many other women with the same desires. Sarah started Fit4Christ, a fitness group for women, at her church in Springdale, AR, after much prayer and soul searching. The classes began with a short Bible study followed by an inspiring and challenging workout. God grew the classes from a few ladies to more than 85 women!

The next years were spent studying God’s word in her living room. Sarah went from leading a very successful fitness ministry to sitting alone at home with her Bible most of the day. But she trusted God and knew He needed her utmost time and attention in order to grow her faith and knowledge in preparation for her next ministry.

Three years later, God called Sarah to start teaching a Bible study class at her local church in Northwest, Arkansas. He had transitioned her from helping women get physically fit to now getting them spiritually fit! Sarah has been teaching a Tuesday morning Bible study for 9 years and will be launching a new study on the books of Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians this spring.
